Rain can cause floods, floods cause drownings, crops are ruined, roads are destroyed, hail can cause damage to vehicles, crops, buildings, etc. Bad weather can cause tornados, hurricanes, etc.

Severe weather can damage property, it can murder, it affects the way we dress, it affects what we do (i.e. golfing or swimming during a storm is a no), or even how we feel.(scared, sad, etc.)
