  1. yes, it is called investor visa, and it also applies to real estate.  but there is a minimum amount of investment, you cant just buy a really cheap estate and think its gonna help, because that wont.  it must be a large estate.  my husband works for an immigration law firm that specializes in investment visa's.

good lawyers can get you here.  keep in mind that it must be a very expensive estate.  and does not apply for someone buying a small house.  the point is real estate is considered an investment, and good immigration lawyers can get investment visas for these very large purchases.

  2. Despite what some people may say, it is possible for you to buy real estate in order to get you a E-2 Visa. Now, some may say that it is just for investors, and it is. The point is that you are actually pouring a large amount of money, at least $150,000, which is one pre-requisite for obtaining the Visa, into the American economy. Also, it must be your own capital, it cannot be a loan and you have to have another source of income. Once you do that, you should prove that you're investing into the costruction of a real estate. E-2 might probably not work if you are buying a built real estate. However, by the moment you are being part of the construction process, actively, you are authorized to supervise your own investment. Of course, you need lawyers to help you figure out the best solution. E-2 has no limit in renewal. So yes, an investor Visa could be a good solution and, no matter what some say, lawyers can make anything possible.

  3. Won't do anything to help

  4. It doesn't help at all.

Owning real estate in America does not make you eligible for any immigration benefits. You're a foreigner like all others and have to apply for a visa.

  5. It does not help at all.

An "investor visa" is for someone who invests at least $1 million in a US business that will employ 10 or more American citizens.

  6. crossing the mexican border is how you get here, dah!

  7. Interesting question! I would think it would help somehow but I do not know. Maybe you could contact the immagration department here. I pray God will bless your plans! Welcome.
