How can can you change the firmware back to the previous version on the PS3?

I want to know how to go back in firmware so I can register my Blue-tooth ear piece. Reason being, I only have the option to register a BD Controller. I don't have nor can afford one right now.

You can't actually go back in firmware but you don't need to if that's the only reason why you want to.  Here's a link on how to register any bluetooth device, whether it's a controller or an ear-piece:
