  1. The cat`s eye has extra light reflective cells in it to reflect even the dimmest of light to enable a cat to see in almost total darkness.

  2. They can’t. Cats are not more able to see in total darkness than humans. What cats are able to do is to reflect very faint light rays. When they appear to glow in the dark, cats’ eyes are reflecting what little natural or artificial light is available in a seemingly dark environment.

  3. um cats dont have eyes. they eat cat nip.

  4. Honestly, i do not think any animal can see in total darkness. Cats do have bigger pupils and can "collect" light. Cats still need atleast a crack of light to be able to see in the dark.

  5. they have better eye sight then humans. they have these reflectors in their eyes... i don't know how to explain it... but they have really good vision at night.

  6. Cats have much larger pupils than humans do. In the dark, their pupils expand so that they're able to take in more residual light from the environment. They don't have crystal clear vision, however shapes and shadows are more defined in dark rooms. They can not see in a room that has 0% light, however on a dark night outside, or with limited light coming through the window, a cat feels just as comfortable as if they were in a well-lit room.

  7. they cant

    its just easier for them

  8. Cats can´t see in total dark, Only that they have a really big pupil, different to the circular human pupil, but they have a line that opens wide, so, their eyes can receive more light.
