How can compare the U.S to Spain?

There are probably about the same number of Spanish speaking people in both countries.(check it out!)

There are a few strange historical things in common.

Both countries have colonialized Puerto Rico.

Both countries have owned California and Texas.

Both countries have invaded Mexico.

The two countries inhabit the same latitudes. The Canary islands are in line with Florida, and Madrid with Pitsburg.Penn.

Both countries had civil wars.

May I ask what are you studying for having to prepare such a work like that? Is your teacher spanish??

Ok, well... You can talk about this:

We are european (so despite some american people may think we are closer to south american people) we have a different way of thinking in some matters such as:

foreign relations, crime punishments and military stuff.

Demographics, religion, education, language, health matters... all that stuff is really different. Just to say we have one language, but accept 3 more languages as official in some regions. And you have not an official one, but just english is national language.

We are a parliamentary representative democratic constitutional monarchy and you are a federal constitutional republic comprising.

Our culture and gastronomy are very different as well, you can talk about it.

Cool stuff about spain, our clima is better LOL, we can legally drink at 18 and our country is older than yours, so we have a lot more ancient ruins and buildings (outstanding la alhambra), we have Ibiza one the coolest place in the world!

Similarities: both countries have not particulary a penchant for learning second languages... We have one the worst second-languages learning rate of europe (after UK) and you are... very american (don't take it to bad)
