and yeah, i just thought of this,

How can society make it easier to donate used equipment?

bcz my family does not seem to be those peeps who donates used stuff, as well as some of my pals..=(

Pay the people the value of those old broken computers -- a lot of people think that just because they haven't used their old Windows 95 box in 10 years that it could still be good for something, so they won't want to toss it. But if they are offered the value as some sort of intensive, they will feel like they're not losing something. And to make people feel safe, provide a guide or a volunteer who will format the hard drives.

    Another option is to actually have the city provide people with a special computer/electronics/battery bin, like the gardening bin or recycle bin. People are more likely to recycle their old computer if they only have to walk to the front of their house right next to their trash can, rather than have to drive to a recycling facility.
