Ive worked at a place for 2 months and had perfect attendance, but i suddenly quit because of circumstances. i did not put in my two weeks notice and this boss has a grudge against me since hes the kind of guy that will make sure you dont get hired again. I know its messed up even though i had perfect attendance while i was there. Should i not mention this job when applying for a part time job?it was the first job i ever did. I need a part time to continue going to school and im pressed for time. Please help. Thankyou in advance.

  1. Most of the time records follow you around and previous employers are shown on your CV. This may cause problems although i don't see why another firm wouldn't take you on because of this.

  2. I would not, Or let them know all the facts if you do. Would you buy your story. Run it by someone who doesn't know you, and see if they would hire you, don't tell them it's you.

It's your first job, and if your boos  was a jerk, I'm sure nothing has changed. He will not help you if they call him. I would just go in to a new job like your a fresh face on the job scene.

    Then go from there.

    luck

  3. You cannot say you had perfect attendance if you worked somewhere for only 2 months and didn't work out a 2 week notice. You can choose not to put this on an app, but in the future always offer a 2 week notice, or consider the fact that you will never have a job history you can use to get your next job. It is also a red flag when a person only works a few months at jobs or job hops. Unless you were in the hospital and unable to work, there is no circumstance that should prevent you from working out a notice. You made a poor decision and are trying to justify it. When you take a job, you take on a responsibility to that job that you must follow through on.

  4. mention it, as long as its clear that you quit, and if you want let the new employer know that you didnt put in a two week, you may find them more than accomadating. people appreciate honesty, of course this changes if youve been fired for performance issues but thats a different story
