I am going to a high school next year. I now know what subjects they have at the school. I want to be prepared for the subjects because I want to do well .

The subjects that are at the school are:

- Religious Education

- English

- Mathematics

- Science

- Human Society and its Environment (HSIE)

- Technology and Applied Science (TAS)

- Creative and Performing Arts, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)

- Other Languages (Italian)

___

So please can you tell me some tips about these subjects and how to improve them. Like giving me some websites or something.

Also if possible can you give me some tips and suggestions for learning and listening in class. And being prepared for high school.

Please help

& Thanks

  1. You spelled everything correctly in your question so you are most of the way there; most people on this site can barely spell their own names!

Don't worry about preparing yourself for the subjects, you will be taught everything you need to know.

  2. - Religious education: find books on religious education. Read Da Vinci Code because I heard some schools do it for religious education. Read the bible.

    - English: read books. e.g. try Oliver Twist, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Great Expectations, Wuthering Heights, etc

    - Mathematics: buy textbooks and practice. If not, then dont bother. Maths is hard to learn by yourself and you may end up getting more confused

    - Science: get science encyclopedias and start memorising facts

    - HSIE: buy a textbook and read. try to learn to read synoptic charts, topographic maps, etc

    - TAS: its really nothing. Just make sure you investigate your computer and know how to use it

    - Creative and Performing Arts: for music, self learn to read scores in treble and bass clef. for art, just draw. if you are doing cooking and textile, dont bother. its not really important.

    - PDHPE: its nothing. you can bullshit in your tests. its really easy. Its just all about safety and crossing the road. Its common sense. Dont worry about it

    - Italian: buy a dictionary and learn. Otherwise, dont bother. Everyone starts at the same level. Just try harder than other people when a test comes

  3. I would go to the library and find books on the subject and read, read, read.
