  1. This explains it greater depth than I can:

And seeing as its the official word of the government more reliable that what you might get told on here!

Broadly speaking though, you have to apply! Its entirely possible, and it does come with benefits. True as an EU citizen already your daughters rights within Europe will be unchanged, but in different countires you will get different benefits (particularly former / current commenwealth countries whcih you can get into easier and stay longer).

  2. move somewhere else n then u can get here that nationality

the easiest way tho is to have ur kid outside ur national country. that way she gets urs (or her dads) by default and the country shes born too! im talkin canada and america... i think Europe has a diff policy

  3. You may indeed. It would be something upon which your daughter shall one day be very proud. Dual nationality, one of such, being; Italian.

  4. You don't need dual nationality.  You're all European, so even though she has an Italian passport she can live and work anywhere in Europe.

  5. apply to the nearest British consulate, or The British Embassy in Rome

you should eb able to get British Nationality for your daughter, however I don't think it will give her anything that having Italian Nationality already gives her.

the ojly reason I can think it would is if the UK or Italy left the EU. it may give her marginallyt more favourable treatment in the US.. I doubt it, it maygive her marginally better treaement in the English speaking world, but again I doubt it.

as an Italian national she has equla rights to live and work in any EU country (unless its France where different rules apply.. naturally)

  6. Dual nationality

In general there is no restriction, in UK law, on a British national being a citizen of another country as well. So, if you get another nationality, you will not lose your British nationality. Similarly, you will not need to give up any other nationality when you become British. The Home Office provides more detailed information.

  8. Register her birth at the British(UK) embassy.
