How can having straight teeth affect the way your voice sounds?

lets say you have crooked teeth and you have a nice singing voice.

well then after you get braces.

so will can your singing voice change?

can it change for the better or the worse?

  1. I'm considering getting an expander and I also sing. I have heard that a high palate effects the resonance of your singing voice. Expanding the upper jaw and lowering the palate may result in a change in the tone and "echo" of your singing voice.


  2. it changes nothing, and thats coming from someone who had braces for almost 4 years, and ive always been a singer...

    a palate expander with cuz you'll kind of have a lisp and a retainer will too but you can take that out but braces dont change anything

  3. ive never heard of anything like that. your voice comes from your mouth and throat. not your teeth. unless you have a lisp issue

  4. braces have nothing to do with your voice. your voice is created by vibrations on the vocal cords. grant it, if you had a lisp before braces it should be better once the braces are removed. braces are used to correct the function of your teeth and jaws not only to make your smile more attractive.
