  1. Hi you need to rebuild the carb.  It sounds like the float is sticking down allowing too much gas through or that your jets ( needles are worn )   what you need is the repair manual for your engine and that will show you how to rebuild the carb and ajust it if thats all it needs.....  To be honest if the carb has not been rebuilf or cleaned since new it should be done. Its very easy to do.

Firstly though.... it sounds like its flooding out  so yo have two screws on the carb  a high spped jet scre and a low speed s***w ( idle s***w)...

What you need to do is  put the pwc in the water and start the motor and ajust the carb then... I dont know if you can put muff on like an outboard to run the motor out of water...

But if you can  then...... start the motor....  look at the carb and you hould see at the top a s***w the idle s***w.... Ok . ceck this s***w by carfully s******g all the way out....  it basically is a long needle ... look at the end the it should be a sharp point... if it is very rounded or blunt you need a new one... they run about  $15 ...  ok now put it back in and slowly s***w it all the way in but NOT tight .. Then turn it out one and a half turns...  and try to start the motor....  it should start but be rough....  so... trun the s***w very slighly and wait 30 secs for the motor to respond...  yo may find it get worse going one way than the other... also you will find the engine revs loudly goin gone way or the other.. what you want is a nice sounding idle not a high rev..  ( its important to do this in the water as the load on the motor is different than on muffs)......   also yo have to have water going through the motor to cool it or it will over heat  ( i know you know this but some pople will read this  and start the motor with no water going through it....)

if you find no difference and its still getting too much gas then you need to rebuild the carb...

email if you need anymore info...
