How can i avoid backing up my ipod while i try to put pictures on it?

I press the "sync" button and it says "Backing up Aud's iTouch". I have a lot of stuff on my ipod and it takes all night to back-up and i really dont want to spend all night backing it up just for 17 pictures! Some1 plz help!

When it starts the backup process, just click the 'x' button next to where it says "backing up aud's itouch". It will immediately go to syncing your stuff and skip the backup.
