How can i avoid eels?fishing

i have bad luck when fishing in galveston i cott 11 eels in a row! how can i aoid this?

I don't know what size hook you're using, or the bait. However, a lot of folks like eel. So, go the the chinese, and vietnamese resturants in your area, and take orders. But, the size hook, and the bait u use has a lot to do with catching eels.  I live in FL. and actually give the eels I catch away.  In turn, I'm given small grunts, and croakers which I use for bait for Reds, Spotted trout, cobia, sheephead, and othert assorted fish.  What I can't use I give away.  It creates a network, and we are all pleased. Give it a shot.
