  1. Salam My little sis.

What you can do is find a room to pray in at school

    make sure it's clean.

    And if that is impossible

then wait till you come home then make up for the prayers

    Allah would understand.

Inshallah. Make sure to make up all your prayers when you come home.

  2. Amina, I am not Muslim or religious at all.

However ,I would go to your Imam & express your concerns & see what can be done  as far as acceptable changes to your religious obligations.

I expect that in America or other non Muslim country this issue is dealt with frequently & there are exceptions that can be made as to the hours of prayer & even fasting if your health is a concern while putting in a full school day.

    Best regards

  3. hmm.. try to pray in school or something, like in  a room where theres no one.

or if you miss it completely make qazaa salah.

wHAT I DO IS USUALLY WHEN I HAVE MY LUNCH PERIOD. I COME HOME AND PRAY SALAAH EVEN THOUGH MY HOUSE IS LIKE 15 MINUTES AWAY. I CAN'T GET AWAY WITH SALAAH FROM ALLAH RYYTE? LOL .

soryy for the caps lock .. kinda pressed it by accident.

  4. Just like everyone else manages it !

U can Offer Kaza Prayer when u come back Home ! or offer it when ur on ur Lunch Break ! There are so many ways to manage But only if ur Willing !

  5. its hard to balance it, im in my last hr of high school and im takin so many courses and AP courses im always so busy, but i make time to pray and pray extra and read quran and make duaa even if that means i stay up until 3 AM ( i wake up at 5 for school) to finish my work

u can pray when u get home, i get home at 2:30 and i stil got about an hour to pray dhur, check ur timings and if u cant get home in time tell ur principal and she will let u pray in her office during lunch trust me she will or if u have a muslim teacher in the school u can pray in her classroom during lunch

  6. Walaikum as salam, Amina.  You shouldn't have to miss any prayers.  Talk to your school administration (principal or assistant principal, or possibly a guidance counselor if you are more comfortable).  Explain that you are a Muslim, show them the prayer times, and tell them that you are requesting a quiet, empty room to pray in at the appointed time.  If you live in the US, most school districts will be willing to grant your request.  If they aren't willing, you should ask for the number of the department of education for your state and tell them that you are requesting mediation on the issue.

As for Ramadan, make sure that you take suhur so that you have something in your system.  If it is too difficult to watch other people eat at lunch time, ask if you may have a pass to the library or a quiet classroom to study or read.  They may or may not honor this request, but you can at least ask.  If you take PE and it is too hot to do an activity without water, or the activity is too rigorous, make sure that you let the teacher know.  Ask if you can make up PE work after Ramadan.

I agree that Allah's commandments are the most important thing, but I disagree that you should consider postponing your education.  You shouldn't have to.  Make sure that your needs are known and advocate to get them met.  If things get difficult, ask your parents or a local Muslim community leader to help you negotiate with the school.  In'shallah, things will work out to your advantage.

  7. Sister, fasting is more important than school. Pleasing Allmighty Allah is more important than school. If you have to drop school for one month to please Allah and fast, then please do it !i

School after all is just an earthly pleasure. The hereafter is more important.

  8. Most Americans do respect religion of all people. You ask permission for time to pray Zuhr with a note from your parents and they will excuse you for prayer time.  You can say four Rakahs of Farz on time and can say rest of salat when you go home.

Asm School Administration to give you a secluded place for five

minutes to pray Farz Salat.  I am sure they will accomodate you for

letting you pray any where in one corner of Library, in some ones office or even Gym if no one is there.

May Allah give us strength of Eiman to follow the right path of Allah and our beloved Prophet Mohammad SAW
