  1. ride with people faster than you and try to keep up with them.

practice and doing lots of riding will help too.....

  2. practice are you kidding me

  3. See if you can invest in some lessons from a coach who knows their stuff.  Once you are told the correct way you should be riding and postioned on the bike (elbows up ect) make sure that whenever you practice that you ride this way.  Make each session count and go out and make a point of doing 5 or more laps working on your technique the whole time, as each time you ride sloppy you are telling your body that that is okay and when you race that will be the outcome.  If you only do 2 laps then stop, your body will want to do that in a race.  Always look ahead as if you look down or at something you want to avoid that is where your bike will head.

So make training an exercise in what you need to do on a race day.  Make sure you hydrate properly before each race meet to help with things like arm pump.

Also see if you can get your suspension set up for your weight as that will make a big difference as to how the bike handles

    BUt most of all enjoy!

  4. tighten spokes, lube clutch, check radiator fluid, do al of this before a race, plus tire pressure. good luck there r just so mant factors involded. good luck tho

  5. practice.... tune you bike up.... ask people at the track for advise... and mabey get a coach?

  6. if you think you are the best of your ability then get a new bike, or modify yours.
