  1. I suggest eating something before you take a test so you will concentrate better.  Study a week a head. Be prepared and sleep well before you take the test. Also, have confidence in yourself. Believe that you can pass this test.

  2. Along with what the other people have said, some things I like to do are to eat a piece of chocolate at least 5 minutes before the test, and chew gum during the test.  It helps stimulate the brain and calm you down.  Another thing is bring in a drink and at least 2 sharpened pencils so that way you will have no distractions and won't have to waste anytime sharpening pencils, etc.

Another thing... just be prepared.  Find a way to study that works for you and start preparing ahead.  I would recommend:

For a quiz:  Take 2 days to study.  The first review your materials and prepare them for studying the next day.  The next day which should be the day before the actual quiz, study this information and look over anything else you feel you may need to.

For a test:  Take 3-4 days to study.  The first day do the review/prepare materials.  Then the next day do a further review.  Then the next day/2days review it all.

For a major test and/or final exam:  Spend 4 days minimum to study.  I would highly recommend 5 days (2 days being a weekend for maximum study potential) and just do what was stated before.

Besides that, just get a good nights rest (go to bed early), and be sure to eat breakfast and lunch.  On the day of the test/quiz/exam it is a good idea to have (a) notecard(s) to do a quick review once you get into the class, but don't make these cards too long as they should just be reminders of points you may have had trouble with or just quick information.  Also my last piece of advice is to never, and I mean Never, go into any test without studying.  Today's kids feel they don't need to study because they usually do good on there tests when the don't.  Now two problems with this theory. 1. you can either do really bad or 2. you won't do as good as you could.  So always prepare and just do what works for you!

Good Luck on any future tests and I hope I helped!

  3. Take a good night's sleep the night before and eat a good breakfast.

As you take the test, relax as best you can and don't panic when you are challenged.Take deep breaths and think through the test rationally. Read the question as many times as you like. Remember that the world does not end if you do not perform perfectly - try to take the pressure off yourself, whilst this way you will perform to the best of your ability. Most importantly, believe in yourself. You can do it.

    Good luck!
