  1. this is easy you need to basically work out on every part of your body, legs, chest, arms. you have to have very good foot work. now in order to be accurate, your shoulder non throwing shoulder/arm should be facing your target, and the leg you don't plant on that pivot toe on that foot should also be facing your target, then you should know how to throw a football, and you should also practice throwing on the run which for me is very easy, you just keep practicing that. also no matter what any one tells you the perfect pass is a completed pass not no spiral and that stuff its a completed pass, so just work out on your entire body for you leg strength and arm strength, and work on your accuracy and prove your self in camp by throwing the ball accurately and long and just make sure it gets complete and you should be on your way to becoming the best qb in your school

  2. Try endurance training!

Your probley thinking youdon'tt need to but trust me your gonna want to stay in the game longer without getting tired

  3. ur am mussle u need to throw and ur stamina

  4. Become good friends with the center, he will be the one handing you the ball and protecting you in and out of the pocket. If he doesn't like you or trust you, he can make you look like a fool. This obviously is a addition to the great answers that you have already received on physical fitness

  5. ive played quarter back. you have to learn how to catch snaps, be very confindent in your self too. plus think fast. is it is your fist time it will be harder than you think. but just really think positive

  6. i can tell by your question that you can't, you can't play, youre never gonna win, you won't pass go , you won't collect two hundred dollars, but that's ok you'll probably have a paradigm shift at some point and rationalize your existence in a blissful manner

  7. Well there is a lot to it. Not only do you have to be able to throw, you need to know your plays (even if its just a running play because they can set up for a play action pass).  You need to be able to read pass coverages. If you already know how to throw, you might want to critique your throwing mechanics such as: limiting wasted motion (holding the ball at ear level will help lots), always set your feet when you throw, square your shoulders, throw with the flick of your wrist (don't let the ball roll off your finger tips), the last part of your hand to touch the football should be the tip of your index finger (this makes the ball spin fast which gives the you more strength and velocity).

  8. I'm confident you know the skills it will take to out-compete your peers for that QB spot on your team.  So the skills have to be a given, or your wouldn't be trying out.

The most critical thing you need to do as "The QB", not "a QB", is to lead with confidence.  Confidence comes from practicing the basics until you can perform them in your sleep. Your teammates will "feel" your confidence (not authority) to lead, and they will follow.
