  1. That's going to be a tough one. You'll need to have  at least one triple jump  and clean combination jumps to compete at nationals and place 6th. Practice every day.    Good luck

  2. Wow, they demand triples already in novice??!! O_o'

In Mexico to win the Novice championship you only need a clean Double Axel and a Double Lutz-Double Loop or Double Lutz-Double Toe Loop.

If you want to get a chance at passing the moves in the field tests, you'd better be busting your rear right now on steps (especially for nats). If you guys say to win Novice in the US you already need a triple, you'd better spiff up your program with quality stepping to stand out.

The current movies in the field for Novice demands all 8 counters. They aren't easy (forward OE counters are daaaamn scary!!), but I find em fun as h**l to do. It's fun to do backwards IE counters into back spins which under the new system could grant a higher GOE if done well.

While you're at it, learn twizzles. If Mexico lets you do em in competition as low as mexican Pre-Preliminary (US level Preliminary), you'd better as h**l know how to do at least 2 out of the 8 possible twizzles and try you get em to at least level 2 (you get a +1 level up if you do the twizzle with your arms above your head). You don't wanna be another of the bunch.

Learn as many spinning features as possible. The ISU grants a Level +1 up if you do spins in the opposite direction and a new feature I like is that you get another +1 Level if you do a particular spin for 8 revolutions.

Oh, and as ridiculous as it sounds, the system gives you candy points for doing Flying Laybacks. O_o' If you don't have a flying sit spin, you won't be able to do the flying Layback at all because apparently it takes off as a flying sit. The system grants a evel bonus for all flying spins that take off and land on the same foot. If you can do a regular flying camel and land it on your left foot, you've got some edge. °-°'

    Work hard!!

  3. ok...... well If you are at juvenile, you have to work a little bit. There is one level between juvenile and novice and that is intermiediate. and to at least make it to nationals as novice you have to have like a triple salchow and triple toe loop. All of your doubles including double axel; and a double axel double toe loop combonation. You have to have a great variety of spins. To be in the top six The least you HAVE to have is a triple: salchow, toe loop, and loop, and if you want to win mabye a triple lutz. It is not easy. Good luck!!

  4. Practice Practice Practice!

  5. Wow, where are you now in relation to that and what sort of time frame have you set yourself?

Do you have a coach as you need to talk it over with them as to your training and competition schedules.?

As I don't know what level you are at now its hard for me to say what sort of chance you are likely to have of doing that this year.  Good luck anyhow.

  6. after juvenile, it's intermidiate then novice. You have to take your moves and free tests. The USFSA moves rules are changing in september though, so either scramble to get moves done or wait until they change. You could most likely fit in your intermediate moves before they change - they're not that hard. For the freestyle, you need a flying camel and up to a double toe to pass the two tests. Then you will most deffinately need a triple to place well in the us championships, even an attempted one thanks to the new rules. Good luck!!

  7. Here are the USFSA Figure Skating levels that you must test into:

    Pre-Preliminary

    Preliminary

    Pre-Juvenile

    Juvenile

    Intermidiate

    Novice

    Junior

    Senior
