How can i be a race horse trainer ?

I would love to be a race horse trainer, thats Santa Anita, Kentucky, Well you all get the picture, but i am 53. Is it to late?

or is thair still time? I am on a small budget $2,500. to be exact.

I hope if thier is a good horse trainer reading this you would take a gambel on me. This is serious.

im sorry to say but you have left it a bit late! it takes expieriance and knowledge and at your age you should save your money.but if your determined then become a hotwalker at your local track and work like crazy,good luck.

You'll need to get a license, than find you a cheap claimer and  hope for the best.  May be better to start out as a stable hand first

If you have a great deal of cow-man  sence, a strong back, an willing to work, I say, go for it. Try to get a job with a small outfit that are winning races. You want learn much from someone who isn't. There are a lot of folks training horses who don't have clue of even how to feed a horse. There are some trainers running off the farm, and doing a pretty good job. Find someone to work with that is actualy training horses, and not owners.
