  1. see www.nabuur.com for online volunteering and if you have time pl come and join our team see aimabroad.org

  2. Project Gutenberg is always looking for online volunteers to proofread texts which are made freely available to the world. Volunteering for Project Gutenberg is something you can do from your home.

LibriVox is a nonprofit effort that mobilizes volunteers to record chapters of books in the public domain. LibriVox then publishes the audio files on the Internet, via its web site. The goal is to record al books in the public domain! Volunteering for LibriVox is something you can do from your home. You can listen to free audiobooks recorded by volunteers, or volunteer to record yourself reading a chapter of a book in the public domain to share with everyone, by going to the LibriVox web site:

There is the UN's Online Volunteering service

    http://www.onlinevolunteers.org

This is where organizations working in and for the developing world recruit web designers, translators, marketing professionals, database designers, graphic designers, online media specialists, researchers and others willing to volunteer their time from their home or office.

You can also talk to local nonprofit organizations in your area and propose ways that you could volunteer online, from home, for them.

But remember: there is nothing virtual about your commitment. Online volunteering takes REAL time and REAL commitment, just like onsite volunteering. Many people say they want to volunteer online before really considering the time investment such is going to take.
