How can i be an Officer in the French Foriegn Legion

i want to join the french legion but i want to be an officer how can i do this?

You need to be a French citizen. Attend the French military academy and be in the top three places on passing out. Then you may be considered for Officer training in the FFL.

The good news is that the French Foriegn legion will take any nationality, in theory the only qualification is that you don't have a criminal record.

The bad news is that only French nationals can become officers. Everyone else is limited to the ranks. This policy is strictly enforced.

You will have to train hard and see if you will be selected to be in the French Foreign Legion.

I think you would have to become a French citizen first, and then, if your qualifications/education is of the right standard you can go to their equivalent of RMA Sandhurst, I think its called St Cyr.  On commissioning you can then apply for posting to the FL.

You will have to become a naturalised French citizen. Only French nationals can become officers in the Foreign Legion.
