  5. Hi, Jessi.  My fiance is a professional animator and he applied to Disney.  These are some good things to do:

    - Pittsburgh has an Art Institute branch. My fiance went to the Art Institute in the city where we live and got his bachelors degree in animation. He learned a lot about what professional studios expect.  You might consider getting some training or even a degree.  They offer scholarships and financial aid.

    - Build a portfolio of your best work.  Keep it updated with work that is no more than a few months old.

    - Write Disney and ask them to describe the perfect candidate. Tell them they are your goal. They will like that. :)  Work toward doing and being what they describe.

    - Get the book "The Illusion of Life." It describes a lot about Disney history and philosophy.  Get totally familiar with it.

    - Join Internet forums where animation people hang out.  Participate regularly and have something to share, even if that's only a good attitude at first.

    - When you feel ready, apply.  Make sure you meet all of their requirements for the application and portfolio.  If they send you a rejection letter, ask them what you could do better next time.  It's quite possible they may just not have an opening where you would fit right now, but might have one in the future.  Remember, you do not have to be the best... just the best FIT.

  6. It depends on what you're trying to do. If you're trying to try out for a part in a show or future show then you could send a tape of yourself to disney and tell them what your audition tape is for, or if you're just wanting to work at Disney then you could do an internship when you're in college. I did that a couple of years ago, and I was called for an interview over the phone, but I decided not to do it, since it was too far away from home for me. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that if you're just wanting to work at Disney, think about doing an internship when people from Disney come to give a presentation at your college, if you're trying to get a part on a show for Disney Channel, then send an tape audition of yourself to The Disney Channel. Whichever one you're trying to pull off, Good Luck!

  7. Send a video to someone important at disney.

  8. Google - Disney Jobs

They have certain times of the year they hire. Maybe you can go down for the week and try out.
