Maybe you're more interesting than you realize..? Self analysis is tricky, you know.

Some people look and listen to everyone around them whom they believe or know to be entertaining or interesting and then try to imagine ways to be like them or have their personality or sense of humor, etc. The thing is, those very people are not imitating anyone other than themselves!

And sometimes people concentrate on those they wish they could be like and ignore those who are in fact more like themselves. If that's the case, quit looking in the Dead Sea for fish. =) Look into the infinity well of your own self; the reflection (and the other people in it) might surprise you.

Read the newspaper and watch Friday Night Standup on Comedy Central. That ought to give you good conversational material.

The BEST way to become more interesting is by 'broadening your horizon'...and the BEST way to do that is by volunteering to help other people...contact your local LGBT Center and get a list of their upcoming events AND volunteer for some of their 'helping' chores...like a hospital, hospice, library, nursing home, etc...  You'll gain immeasurable insights and experiences you wouldn't be able to find most anywhere else...

By engaging yourself in many activities. You get to meet many people, so you'll become more sociable; you get to know a lot of thinhs, so you'll be able to converse well. A person who knows and does many things is interesting. You start with activities that you are interested at. Hope that helps.
