  1. i got straight b's in 9th grade and wasnt happy with it. in tenth grade, because i took more challenging classes, i was forced to focus more in order to do well. i was motivated by the fact that sophomore year is important on college transcripts. i studied by going over the textbooks and stuff that the teacher reviewed in class; there wasn't really anything else i could do.

  2. I'm going to be a sophmore tooo!!

I make A's. I usually write everything in a planner and check it at least ten times a day. When i get home, i eat, do homework, then shower, then eat, then some more homework. i make better grades on my homework while listening to music. it helps me concentrate, even though it sounds crazy. hope i helped :)

  3. Sophomore year is critical, so make sure you do really well. Colleges look at sophomore and junior year grades for deciding admission. There is not much you can do to prepare for classes in sophomore year, but you really should be already studying for SATs. You will be taking the SATs, SAT IIs (subject tests), ACT (your choice), AP tests (if you take AP), and the PSAT in your junior year. It is really important that you don't wait until last minute to study for these. It is A LOT of tests and it would be smart to start preparing for them now. Sophomore year is a perfect time to start preparing, if not sooner. As for sophomore year itself, learn good study habits and don't fall behind. Don't procrastinate and listen in class. Study material that you have learned that day as part of your homework. This will reinforce your memory of what you just learned that day. Do well, and push yourself if you want good grades. Practice working hard now behind junior year will be suicide (well, depending on what kind of classes you take).
