When i go to visit my mom she glady considers my idea of vegetarion and said i can start september fourth after she has througly researched my diet and how to get the proper nutriets and food etc.. Now i think my dad would be fine with me being vegetarion too because he is very health conchious . Okay so my dad is muslim and he dosent allow me or my brothers to eat pork. When i go visit my grandpa he tries to force me to eat it . He says things like " i should have never your father be a muslim" and aint nothing from with some pork chops every now and then and he would force me to eat up. Recently when i came to visit he changed and didnt eat cook any pork. And cooked turky and chicen before however one time he fixed some string beans and cooked it with pork and i didnt know till after i ate it when i looked in the pot and he said that pork was just to season it and that i didnt even eat the pork. So im like i dont want to eat any thing cooked with pork.. well basically i could ramble on about this story but what can i do when i visit my grandpa i spend atleast two months with him in the summer

  1. Stop eating meat.

  2. what the h**l's a  vegetarion?

  3. All you can do is try not  eat the things that are against your morals, but because you are in the care of so many different people your always have a choice There is no law that you must stay with your grandfather so I would tell my mother that I don't want to go because he forces me to go against my morals.

  4. good for you http://www.peta.com/ http://www.goveg.com/ you'll be making the right choice going vegetarian

  5. This sounds more like a problem with your grandfather than actually becoming a vegetarian.  The only way you can get around him cooking pork is to not eat anything he cooks with it and eat double of something else, or you could not eat anything at all.  If you don't mind going hungry, this will work out for you.  As far as actual vegetarianism, eat lots of greens for iron, nuts/lentils/tofu/eggs (if you aren't going vegan) for protein.  Eat a lot of starches and high carb foods if you're active (rice, pasta, potatoes) to keep your energy levels up. Good Luck!
