may sound wierd. but you need to find a sort of inspiration or something to motivate you. iv only been dancing a year and i taught myself. just have an open mind, dont be afraid to be different.

I think what you need to do is just watch music videos and things like that, and also play some music and just move to it. That is the way most dancer make up moves. Look at yourself dancing

to a song and when you see something that you like then keep it. It's a good way to build up a bank of moves (:

you can buy instructional videos, but there is no one to tell you if you are doing it right or wrong. If you want to go into dancing professionally you must take dance classes to get to the professional level. If you want to dance just for fun then you can just use instructional videos, but I reccomend dance classes.

It also depeneds on what style of dance you want to do.

sorry but my opinoin is that taking classes is better cause the teacher can give you advice but you could just do stuff that was in your class and work hard!

practice? move to the beat when listening to your favorite songs. choreograph small dance moves for your songs and practice them. learn hard dance moves online and try to master them and maybe put them to life by using it in a song. not too hard, practice makes perfect...or pretty close!
