  1. Passing:

    - Get square in front of the ball

    - Bend your legs

    - Put one hand into the other hand's palm (both palms should be facing up)

    - When the ball comes, don't swing your arms up (this will make the ball go everywhere, except for where you want it to go)

    - Let the ball make contact on your fore arm (between your wrists and elbows)

    - Bend your legs up again and lightly bring your arms up to pass the ball

It will hurt and be difficult at first but after a while it will not hurt and be like second nature to you.

    Setting:

    - Get in front of the ball

    - Make a triangular window with your thumbs and index fingers

    - Keep your eyes on the ball

    - Bend your legs

    - Bend your elbows

    - Let the ball hit your triangle and straighten your elbows again making the ball pop up into the air

  2. practice setting with a basketball at home.  it sounds weird but it works.  go outside and just set it 100 perfect times once a day

  3. You could play against the wall of your house outside or sett up to urself and see how many you can get in a row. Something I did on my team is lay down and set the ball up and when you catch it ur hands should be in a triangle.

  4. Setting to yourself is one of the best things you can do. And one of the main things about sets is that it all depends on the pass. You need a good hieght on a set and you want your two index fingers and thumbs to form a triangle.

  5. yes i understand just what you mean.

im not thata great of a passer but, pretty good at setting since im tall.

with passing its all in the arms.the ball should hit off a little ways above you wrists.when getting ready to pass you have to have your arms locked and your thumbs pressed together.NEVER - try to come the ball. ALWAYS let the ball come to you.the only reason you should come to the ball if it has gone off in another direction.ummmm....staying low while bending at your knees and just popping up when the ball comes is the key to passing.

    WITH SETTING

although this may sound a little funny it works. My coach said you have to pretend you have a window on your forehead, you should always aim to have that ball come off the window on your forehead .then when the ball comes at you step out with your right foot and your left foot should glide right along like your doing the superman.and the ball should always hit off your finger tips nicely :)
