i have to say, i've been swimming with a friend for two years now on a competitive team. we started out about the same speeds, and at the same level. then she got so much faster and continues to drop time. i drop loads too, but i'm not close to her level; she is a minute faster in the 500!!! also, one sec in the 50 free, 3 sec in 100 breast, 30 sec in the 200 IM. am i doing something wrong? just want to know if dietary habits, etc really make a difference. plus, i'm truly not unathletic, i just cant seem to get faster. i just want to know how to make myself better and soon, too!
