  1. Well, alright... lets think.

For the accuracy issue, and if you want to become a good quarterback accuracy is important, start throwing balls for accuracy. The easiest way to do this is play catch a lot. Or, you can do the good ol' fashioned way, and get a tire, suspend the tire from somewhere, and keep throwing until you can put the ball through the tire on command. Accuracy is learned by repetition really.

In terms of dropping your passes, it sounds like a mental block. Don't think, just do. As soon as you start actively thinking too much about the catch, you're not going to do it. You have good hands it sounds like, so just focus on the ball, and let it happen man.

Finally, for the running back, if you're good at making people miss in open field, odds are you're not going to have a ton of luck flat out running them over. Your best bet is to start reading your blocks at the first level, rather than trying to bowl defenders over. Let your lineman do the work for you, and then, once you are into the defensive backfield, let you athleticism take over. In terms of leg strength though, the only thing I can tell you is starting hitting the weights in about a year or so. You just need to get strength, which will help with breaking tackles, running, and making moves.

Really, there's not a ton of difference between the Canadian and American games (less passing in American, no forward motion before the snap, a few others.) Football is football, so if you master skills at one level, naturally you should be able to transition between the next game.

  2. Try to play the position you really want to at first.  Watch all the american football games you can so you can learn, then practice practice and practice some more.  Go on the internet and search your position.
