  1. you should earn about 10 dollars an hour, remember that you are a hired servant to the hotel elite owners, you must work to the best of your ability to strengthen your company, if you are a manager make sure to increase the productivity of people under you, the hotel industy is powerful

  2. I agree with Lady Mendoza!

  3. OH, what ever happen to your rich buzinezzman boyfriend that you met at your interview?  You are so smart and pretty he couldn't give you a job there?  And if he loves you so much and wants to start this family w/ do you care how much you will be making as a hotel manager?

  4. There are a couple ways to go about it.

    - One way is to get in the business on the entry level.  Work the front-desk at a hotel.  Work really hard, be reliable and learn the business.  While you do that, take college business courses, and yes a two year diploma is enough.  Likely you will make money, have fun and within a couple years you should be an assistant manager or general manager if you are smart and work hard.  Your languages will help.

    - Another way is to do a four year commerce degree.  Then apply from the outside.  You might start as a manager right away, but this is tougher school and more expensive.

    - As a general rule it's not a really high paying career.  It can be fun and rewarding on other levels.  You might get to manage all over the world - depending on the management company that hires you.  And some fancy hotels do pay well.  In Canada, we make about $30,000 when we start and get raises to the $50,000 range.  Not rich but not bad either - good luck!
