How can i become a major airline pilot?

i am starting my aviation career at the lewis university. where i ll learn to fly. so after that what are my steps to become a major airline pilot? is the pay good? thanks

Get good grades and graduate. Take any flying job you can get to build time. Serving as pilot-in-command of multiengine and turbine powered aircraft  is the best type of time to get, which generally means military or regional airlines, but all flight time counts for something, particularly in a multi-crew cockpit (flight instructing counts). Be well versed in the concepts of CRM and flight safety.

Along the way to your airline career, do not fail any FAA written tests or checkrides (the airlines will ask this and verify your answer), do not damage an airplane in an accident or incident, do not get busted for violating the FAR's,  do not get arrested for a DUI or drugs, do not get any speeding tickets, do not get arrested on any felony or misdemeanor charge, pay all your bills on time and do not get a bad credit history, do not get fired from any position and do not quit unless it is for a better job, meet lots of people and be friendly, it's the people who know you and like you who will help your career the most (but dont be a kis* as*).

Learn to be a "team player" and be scrupulously honest and law-abiding, whether people are watching or not. Get personal letters of recommendation from at least 5 people in highly responsible and respected positions. Get any experience you can, whether professional or volunteer, where you have to manage other people.  Finally, get and read this book; it will help you make the right choices on the way to an airline career and the advice is worth far more than the cover price: Flight Guide for Success by Karen M. Kahn

first you got to have a basic degree in a 4 year college then you will have to get a commercial pilots license  and get near hundreds of hours in flight   good statring pay  only gets better as you become more experienced
