How can i become a more productive student at school.

i am going into 9th grade and want to show my friends and family and this girl i like i can do better in school. thats why i am afraid to ask her out cause she is a better student. but yeah any tips extra supplies other then the essentials.

You are not in competition with anyone but yourself, so don't worry unless you are a real loser when it comes to school work. She should like you for who you are.As for the work, you are the only one who can set up study habits. First, try to enjoy learning new stuff, there is a whole world out there to understand, and it is fascinating if you give it a chance. In class take notes, and do the lessons. I don't mean just get through them, learn them. If you don't understand something, study, or ask the teacher for help, that is a teachers job.Impress your girl with character, and honesty, and perseverence in the things you do. You are about 15, so the world is just beginning for you so enjoy.

Set aside a special time everyday to do your work before you do anything else like watch tv or play video games. Take notes and review them every other day. But make sure to make time for fun things because then you'll get bored and tired of school work. Plus to get you closer to your crush you could ask her to tutor you since she's such a good student.

I'm going to be a senior this year. And if there is one thing that I have learned over the years is ORGANIZATION is everything!

Since your probly starting high school I recomend having a small binder for each class and have dividers for things like homework (so you know where your homework is), tests (becasue it's always good to save your tests so you can look back on information for future tests and figure out what you need to study) and always have a section for notes! It's the worst when you relize you need your notes for a test or for homework and you don't have them. Make sure you have a highliter, if you have a pen make sure it's blue or black ink, always have a red pen, and make sure you have at least one #2 NON MECHANICAL pencil for scantron tests, you will probly need a ruler for math and science or art if you have any of those. Make sure you do your homework no matter what. Sometimes homework is the worst thing but you really need to get it done and ALWAYS study for your tests and read the material carfuly. Organization is really key to be able to focus and get far in school. It's surprisingly how well you do when your organizied, you know exactly where everything is and when you need it. Make sure you dont buy the really big 2 inch binders ge the little like I think there 1/2 inch or 1 1/2 inch binders and get one for each class except P.E. or classes like that.

Your MOST important supply is your BRAIN!  Go to school with the right attitude that you WILL learn, more, better, deeper and with meaning... and you will!  Set your goals high for yourself, not other people, they will be happy when you really do your best!
