  1. You also asked "who IS the guy who bought one" (earlier)

    Is this him?

I found this when I google-searched your question (look) (you can do this)

    ((and hey, you're on google!!!))

    http://www.google.com/search?q=king+of+h...

and I still thinkthat most of the  info you need is this answer I gave you earlier...

    Hope that helps!

You can find a lot about things just by typing the name of something (or your question) into a goole search).

FOR EXAMPLE , the name jullif google-searched results in this:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=julif&rls...

Look in the upper right hand corner, the google search box. All I typed in was "Julif" (one l ...julif with 2 l's didnt result in much)

So you can investigate your question(s) quite thoroughly this way!

Like try typing in that other surname now.

    See?

Here's SOME islands for sale!  (though they're small)

Here's a page where  you can search the news for stories about the guy who bought one

I think a KEY tyo becoming a ruler could be one of two things...

    1) goto college and become an MBA (a business degree), THOSE are the guys that get to become CEO's of companies...they become very rich. MBA is probably one of the best shots going atbecoming very rich.

So...then it might take till your 40 (but so?  It's your quest!  It should take a few yeasr!)

and 2) there's also the possibility of rising to power in a country by running for higher and higher political offices

(Maybe go find a small enough country where you can research and find that it might be doable to rise to power there (become president) --and then once you're in declare yourself the king!

(Castro did it.  So did Hitler (hmm, well - it's a slippery slope isnt it?

but yes a second possibility a rise to power politically

3 in England if you do something cool enough Queen will knight you.  You'llbe a Sir at least.

Isn't it possible within UK to be a Duke or an Earl or a Lord of some COUNTY basically ?   maybe shoot for that!

Ya know, if you have a dream,  and you can only get so far yourself, well - at least you got that far!

(Plus if you have kids you'llleave them something to build further on, as your family's heritage)

These are just meant to be idea stimulators.

You're gonna have to go research this yourself in the bigger places (library, news history files, pay to have your family tree traced, etcetera).

There's only so much the Yahoo people are going to be able to tell you.

You maybe chasing this idea for years to come!

So this is a starting point for you.

               Good luck with it, Tommi.

                   It's a noble quest!  :)

  2. You can buy an island if you have the money. Then I guess you would become king by default. But why would you want to?

  3. You can't become a prince or a grand duke unless you are heir to these titles. If you bought your own island you could proclaim yourself king or prince regent or any thing you wished!

To find out aristocratic lineage you need to have your family tree traced, not just a name.A genealogical service could help you.Two such services that specialize in the nobility and aristocracy are Debrett's and Burke's Peerage;there is a charge for such searches. You could also join Ancestry.com and try a search yourself or have someone do it for you, also for a fee.

  4. well yes, you can buy an island, if you have the money.
