  1. Join a good club and play well enough to be selected for your province.   Most provincial rugby in the bigger rugby nations now pay players.

  2. Try playing for the All Blacks.

Seems to work well for most.

  3. For Club Rugby: The best bet is to play for the junior section of a team bordering on, or playing in the National Divisions. That way, they may sign you, and you could be scouted by higher clubs.

Alternatively, you could try moving through the District and County rugby teams, they frequently get scouted, and you may be spotted by a club.

If this isn't an option, try researching the academies of top flight rugby teams. It is sometimes possible to have a trial with them, or pay to train and play with them.

If you are playing school rugby, chances are you will need to be scouted before being invited to a pro club, the only ways of achieving this would be through district, and county school levels etc. Or through your school's success in national competitions such as the Daily Mail Cup/Vase.

  4. get  signed  up  by  a  club...start  by  joining  a  good   amateur   club  ...........a  spell  in  newzealand  could  look  good  on  ur  cv.  look  at  the  history   of  the  guys  who  have  made  it.  see  what  amateur  clubs  they  have  come  from.

  5. well, do well in the amateur club and try to get selected for your region team e.g Auckland, Wellington or Canterbury. If you do well in tour region team and if the selector likes how you play then the professional club will offer you a contract. That's how it is in New Zealand but i don't know if it is same in UK
