How can i become a social worker?

wow ive looked at two answer, omg i really dont think it takes 7 years geez!..................if any knows of a faster way please let me know i live in san diego county.

  1. you need at least a bachelor degree that will get you a minimum paying job in social work, then to make more money you need a masters, best pay is when you get your PHD

    Sorry there are TONS of people that have bachelor degrees

    working in the social arena.. low pay, lots of stress and really

    hard to get ahead without the degrees

  3. Some colleges and universities have an undergraduate program that gives a BS in Social Work. That takes 4 years. If you want to go on to get the MSW there is an accelerated program that takes one year and includes weekend hours at your internship.  Five years is the quickest way possible to earn the Masters in Social Work degree.  The BS in Social Work, can be obtained in the shortest time, four years.
