  1. There are many syndicates that you can buy into these days, with prices ranging from as little as £100 per year, up to tens of thousands per year.

Remember, the more you have to pay in, the more of the horse you will own.

It is probably best to start off with one of the very large syndicates, like Elite Racing.  Elite have 18,000 members and about 20 horses, membership is about £125 per year but you are highly unlikely to get any money back from it!  Have a go at something like this and see if you enjoy it, if you do then you can find a smaller syndicate to get involved in.

Don't forget that some syndicates ask for a once a year payment, whilst others want you to pay monthly for the horse's keep.

  2. Buy a horse then race

  3. get a loan and own a thoroughbred.

  4. get a loan 5000 might get you a old quarterhorse if that

  5. With only that amount of maney the only way you are going to be a thoroughbred racing owner is by joining one of the syndicates.

You buy in for a fee and you own a portion of the horse or it could be several horses.

Depending on the syndicate you buy into depends on how much it costs and how often you pay into it.

  6. You can buy a small percentage of a thoroughbred syndicate for as little as a thousand but expenses continue to accrue based on your percentage of ownership.  Hopefully your horse will be earning purse money to cover your costs and earn you a few bucks.  See these links and click new partnerships:
