A missionary came to my youth group with his wife a few months ago, and they were missionaries to indonesia, and they got me thinking that i want to be a missionary. Then, i am reading the book, "angel of mercy" by lurlane mcdaniels, and it is about a young missionary girl helping people in kenya.

I am only 13, and i really wanted to know what i could do to become a teen missionary, in my school, and other surroundings.

  1. You don't get a good Christian, only a righteous one. I can lead you onto the right path, but its you who have to listen and obey, otherwise the only road you will be on is the one going in the opposite direction.

  2. There are many opportunities for teens to get their feet "wet" in mission work.

Your youth group pastor should be able to connect you with short term mission groups who are set up for teens.

There is training available for five day groups in your neighborhood and so very much more.

Always keep an eye on your education , you will need it no matter what you end up doing in Gods service.  Extra curicular activities that involve short term mission work is very highly recieved when applying for college acceptance.

  3. There is a punchline in your question

  4. Jesus starts the missionary at the age of 12, so pray to the Lord our God for his guidance through power of  Holy Spirit . God Bless

  5. Well, I would suggest you read up on the news (like GoogleNews)

    about places like Orissa, India.

  6. You're too young to know about religion. Wait until you're older and smarter until you do something drastic in regards of religion. I was a Christian too when I was 13.

If you really want to help out, go to globalvolunteer.org.

But seriously, I don't think anyone as young as you are is ready to teach others about religion. Probably because the only book you've ever glanced at is the Bible and therefore have a biased opinion.

  7. Talk to your Pastor and visit here:

    http://www.send.org

  8. If you are 13 then you should be busy getting your education - that is more important - you can do more good with knowledge than you can with faith.

  9. You have to be in the right position
