Ok, well at my school, we have this "Switch Week". Its like walking in another persons shoes. During last week, we wrote down our personalities and put them in a hat. I wrote "Nerd". Then we pulled another personality our of the same hat. I pulled "Emo". Now we have to act like this personality this whole week. This social experiment is suppose to bring down the wall between cliques.

anyway, do you have any tips, and possibly some pictures?

I really need.....

-hairstyles

-clothes

-attitude tips

-make up ideas

-music

oh and i REALLY NEED the music, its extra credit in music class if we find our "personalities music" i need at least 5 songs

We are suppose to give a report on how we are treated differently, so any tips i said before would be AWESOME !!!!

thx

  4. your school is just adding to the problem of stereotypes.

i wouldnt do the "experiment", just say you are you and no stereotype can define it.

  5. I'm guessing you're going by the stereotype?

So I just hope I'm not going to get flamed for this.

Hairstyles; Something edgy, you need either layers, or a very blunt cut. And don't forget the side swept bangs covering the eye or part of your face. Coloring is good too I guess, and it's a plus to get it in a funky color.

Clothes; Mix black with neon colors. Lots of bracelets or bangles but make sure they're plastic [simple one color ones mixed with patterned ones]. Skinny, tight, skin hugging jeans. Converse or vans.

Attitude; Because we're going by the stereotype, I'm going to guess that you're going to have to have a very melancholic mood, or get some sort of creepiness into your personality.

Make up; Heavy on the eyeliner, I prefer a liquid one. Keep eyeshadow at a minimal level, but if you're gonna use it, make sure it's either black, purple, blue or hot pink. But please, please, please! Use one that matches your skin tone.

Music; Screamo, death, ambient, rock, and a little bit of pop and of course, emo.

  6. If I were you I would rebel against this. Dress in all white. Because emo isn't a personality. It's a type of music. Crappy music might I add. But that's just me.

But I have you covered on the music part. Unlike the stereotype, my music doesn't influence the way I dress and/or act. I'll give you some bands to go by. These are more along the lines of melodic screamo, electro core and rock. The genres sound a bit silly :p but, good stuff.
