Question:

How can i become more flexible fast?

I'm a dancer. I want to be able to do any thing and everything all the other dancers can do. They can all do there splits and heel streches. Also that thing where your on your back leg standing and you strech your front foot up almost to a 90 degree angle. And i want to go to competion this year and i cant do that if im not flexible enough. Please help me, i am willing to try everything

  1. heres what i do for splits i see how far i can go down and the empty space i just put pillows there and i do the splits on the pillow i watch spongebob something that can entertain me while im in the pain lol then when im done im so closer to the ground i actually got all the splits all the way to the ground in one day but after that you got to keep stretching your kness you know becuase it will still hurt even if your all the way to the ground dont give up girl :) best of luck

  4. first of all its called a tilt and u dont have to be flexible to be a good dancer its all about the face so sell it with ur face be the best u can be and as they say in the dance world shake it  dont compare urself to the other dacners just do alot of streaches they can be very simple just hold them and streach thru the pain streach every day and switch them up ok got it if you need anything email me

Well there is really no way of making yourself flexible fast because you muscles and your body need to get used to the way you stretch sooo what you should do is stretch daily for about 30 minutes if you want you could make a certain serious of stretches which means you do in the same routine every day and sooner or later you will see a result and notice that maybe you are going father than usual and you will be able to do harder and longer stretches you should start at about 30 minutes a day and around a month two mouths later or when you feel ready BUT NOT UN TILL AFTER 2 MONTHS because you will be very sore which stinks and you wont feel it till the next day ha ha trust me its happened(personal experience) you should do like 40 minutes daily  this will really help you ALLOT some stretches like straddles and the basic splits if you can also do a back bend and push you chest against the wall for about 2 to 3 minutes this will help you for when you do flips etc. hope this helps!!!!

  7. stretch A LOT in hot weather. since its hot, ur muscles wud b relaxed and it will be easier to become more flexible. if ur sore the next day, that is good.

  8. why dont you stretch every day or night start by sitting on the floor and open ur legs and reach to the middle or to take ur left arm and reach ur right feet and just try this everyday until ur body starts getting use to it also try splittin every night or day until your body gets used to..

  9. Try a lot of strectches.  Many good ones are found in yoga training.  My friend does yoga and is extremely flexible, and the more strectching and special poses she does the more flexible she is.  Once your muscles get used to it, the moves the others dancers do will be easier.

  10. I RECCOMEND STRETCHING TWICE A DAY AND EACH STRECH FOR A MINUTE. ESPECIALLY THE SPLITS. ALSO DONT OVER STRETCH YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU WILL BE IN ALOT OF PAIN.

  11. there really isnt any way to do this fast, but i would suggest that you need to stretch for 30 minuets EVERYDAY!

  16. im double jointed and extreamly flexible. i strecth alot try doing a split i tried that once and it worked! once you manage a split your legs are more looser. dont hurt your self though if you feel pain STOP IMMEDIATELY!!! O and by the way.. you dont need all those fancy foot works just do wat you noe and you will be ok .. =D ;)

  17. you will hurt yourself trying to get flexible fast. just wait. take it slow. just keep taking dance classes. and give your 110% i recommend conditioning and stretch classes or leaps and turns.

  18. You have to do a series of stretches every day and just keep doing it every day you will get stretchier and stretchier.

    Do something like

    -Strattle, stretch to side, then nose to knee. Then do the same on the other side. Don't do it fast, take your time and really stretch it out.

    Then from there it would be too hard to explain a bunch of stretches but being on a dance team, I'm sure you know stretches, do the stretches you do at practice for dance every day.
