How can i block my neighbors view into my yard?

my neighbor has a deck and he is always staring into my yard and my living room. I cant make the fence higher. What can I do to block his view?

Walk around naked. He’ll stop looking in immediately.

Unless he’s g*y and finds you attractive.

Then you have a problem and I know you have a problem because if his voyeurism didn’t bother you, you wouldn’t have posted the question.

Unfortunately, if he is making you uncomfortable you are going to have to put up some sort of obstruction between you and Mr. Stares.

Aside from the curtain and vine suggestions you could build ‘window’ boxes out of the same wood as your fence and run them across the top of the fence. Plant them with something like boxwood or dwarf evergreen azaleas for a permanent ‘screen’. Or seasonal plants if you don’t mind Mr. Stares wandering eyes in the winter.

if you are not allowed to build a taller fence, run wires from one side to the other and plant star jasmines or lavender trumpet vines. both are evergreen vines that will easily grow and give you privacy . it will look beautiful as well.

Arborvitae along your fence. They grow quickly, are inexpensive, and require almost no care. They also provide almost instantaneous results.

You can plant something that will block the view, depending on the space and your climate.

*Ligustrum 10-12' and fast growing

*Emerald Green Arborvitae  10-15' tall but only 4-5' wide, great for tight space

Just a couple ideas,go to a garden center and they'll have endless ideas appropriate for your climate
