You don't need to stay inside the station building in Jammu.

Just come out of the station. Near the gate itself there are two new yatri bhavans built by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. They are named Vaisnavi Dham and Saraswati Dham. They provide clean, well kept dorms and rooms at very reasonable rates.
