How can i booost my wireless connection?

Question

i have a laptop with wireless connection....

and the strength of the connection that i got is very low....

and the router also not very far from my place....

so what can i do to boost up my connection without moving from my place here....and please give me the instruction and explaination... ^^

try moving router higher up to the sealing, place it on a top shelf.
