How can i break password of Fedora Core Release 3 (Linux) as i forgotten the password?

i have forgotten the password of Linux (Fedora Core Release 3).So how can i implement new password or how can i break it ?

  2. It is not difficult, but a bit technical.

    You have to boot from a live cd or the install media,in console mode. make a mount point directory in the ram disk and mount the partition   with the /etc directory on it. then edit the sudoer file to include your  login. save the changes, reboot  and eject the disk and let the system reboot normally. login with you id, open a console and type the command 'sudo su -' then 'passwd' to change the root passwd.

  3. With Fedora its actually very easy with keyboard access and the unit.  At the Boot Prompt where it shows the kernel load..

    type "linux single" or boot to run level 1. that should put you into the single user mode at a prompt.  You can then change the password using passwd command.
