How can i build a desicant dehumidifier?is it possible to install it under the bed?

  1. If you are thinking of using a desicant dryer like used on compressed air, you have to remember that they are two chambers used, allowing for one chamber to recharge while the other is pulling out the moisture. I am not sure how you would be able to recharge the desicant bed in this application.


  2. Essentially you blow room air through a desiccant such as silica.  There is a limit to the moisture absorbance, and while I don't have concrete numbers, I imagine the desiccant would need to be available in large quantities and recharged often.

    I'll go ahead and say, yes it is possible to install under a bed, but it would require quite an efficient design.
