How can i build up my self esteem ? ?

I'm 14 years old & all throughout my life every time a liked a boy they always rejected me. I thought it would be different when i entered middle school but things never change. I wouldn't feel this low in my life just because of some boy.. but every time ? My friends are beautiful , confident people, i just thought that if i surround myself with that i could feel that way myself. Give me the best advice you can and thank you and God Bless.

Boys do not mature as fast as girls.  Also boys have a lot less empathy than girls and thus are going to be a lot less sensitive to others feelings.

At 14, I wouldn't even worry about a boyfriend right now.  Just focus on your studies, extra activities, and your friends.  By being successful at things your self esteem will soar. You should be starting to think about college and what you need to get in (grades, community service, extra activities ect.)  The boy thing will happen when it happens.

make a list of all the good things about yourself

then make a list of things you can improve on

then actually do those things!

I really think that you should always feel good about yourself. I used to be the same way you were but then my sister told me that a girl as pretty as me should have high confidence. The first things that a boy really wants to see in a girl is CONFIDENCE!!! So keep your head up a little higher and believe that you are just as pretty and confident as your friends and soon your self esteem will rise high. Hope I helped!!
