How can i buy new car without paying CA tax from dealer?

Because i'm planning to relocate in Nevada.So i prefer pay Nevada tax which is little lower than CA.

any advise will be great.thanks

  1. If you purchase a car from a CA dealer, the dealer is required to charge sales tax if the title to the car passes in CA or if the car is registered at a CA address.

    This can only be avoided if the dealer delivers the car to an out of state location. At that point, the title passage would be out of state and as long as the car is not registered in CA, CA tax won't apply.

    It would probably be easier to purchase the car in Nevada and never register it in CA.


  2. If you buy a car that's on consignment then you do not have to pay tax on it.
