  1. NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A TEST GO AND GET SOME MILD TRANQUILLISERS FROM THE DOC, IT HELPED ME AND I PASSED SECOND TIME AROUND. YOU CAN ALSO BUY KALMS IN THE HEALTH SHOP.

  2. A couple of cans of Jolt! cola should do it.

  3. Relax, take a couple of deep breaths, remember what you have learned and just concentrate on driving and forget about the instructor and you will do just fine......

  4. There'll always be someone different with you in the car, if you pass you'll be giving mates a lift home, dropping your mom at the supermarket, and so forth! You'll just have to get over it- take deep breaths, be confident in your talents and try to enjoy it!

  5. JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND COUNT TILL 20 TO RELAX YOUR MIND.

  6. Take a couple shots of vodka before.

  7. Then, obviously, you arent a great driver...

Not being rude, but a great driver can drive well under any circumstance. Im a professional driver for a living and I can have a range of people in the vehicle with me, from the boss of a multi million dollar company, to my direct manager, to a client, to one of our workers. You have to be at your best 100% of the time. Im not a chauffer either.

Basically, the best way is to forget that the person is there. Just do what you normally do. Maybe have a drink of water before you start, to calm you, or perhaps try chewing gum, or sucking on a lolly.

Maybe you could try casually chatting with the instructor? That will calm your nerves.

  8. As a Driving Instructor, I can tell you that everyone is nervous during a road test. Heck, even with 36 years of Instruction experience, I get a little anxious when I am being monitored by the Chief Instructor twice a year.

I tell my students to FOCUS on what the Examiner is telling you, and also FOCUS on your driving task. Your job is to listen to the Examiner and perform as best as you can, The Examiner's job is to observe your driving and report on the test sheet accordingly. Don't try to SEE that test sheet either, because doing so will only distract your attention from driving.

If you make a small error, don't dwell on it because you will just make another error from being distracted in your thoughts. Instread, get past it and carry on.

Don't forget to breathe properly. Oxygen will be reduced to your brain and thinking processes if you do short little breaths due to being nervous.

Know your stuff! If you practice enough using proper techniques, these will become good habits, and they will ltherefore become automatic responses in your driving, so you also won't have to REMEMBER to do them on your test.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity, so I wish you GOOD LUCK!!
