How can i calm my nerves while watching sports

hey guys im a huge sports fan and as you can see from some of my previous qusteions and awnsers i really engoy watching the olympics anyway, im already nervice for tonights team final in womens gymnastics, and im already nervice now i cant imagine how nervice i will be tommorow night, especially when shawn johnson is competing. now i will be engoying it a lot but i need ways to calm myself down. thanks.

  1. Regulate your breathing. That'll help a lot. If you get spastic when you're nervous, try some stretches. You know, pretend you're helping the gymnasts out by stretching with them. ;) That should all keep your nerves down to some minimum.

  2. Focusing on neutral bodily sensations helps calm the mind.

    While you are watching sports, keep part of your attention on your breathing.  Do not try to control or change your breathing, just be aware of it.

    An alternative is to focus on the feeling of your legs and the feeling of contact and pressure from what you are sitting on.  Or on the feelings in the soles of your feet.
