How can i cancel my mother-in-law immigrant sponsorship ?

I want to cancel my mother-in-law immigrant sponsorship, i don't have her address,her phone number,i don't have any information about her,i just know her name. I am afraid that i will be responsible of any bad thing she might do. What is the Procedure?

Did she have an immigration lawyer file the paperwork for you to be her sponsor? If so, the only thing I can think of is to contact the lawyer and see if they can do something. Anyway, I don't think you can be held responsible if she ever did anything bad.

i'm afraid the only conditions there are for you to stop being her sponsor is when:

1. she becomes a citizen

2. she returns to her home country

3. she dies

4. you die

when you signed the sponsorship, you made yourself financially responsible for her. you should have thought of that beforehand. even if you divorce your spouse who is her son/daughter, you'll still be responsible for her.
