How can i cancel sister internet?

well my computer is the one with the wireless router and our internet provider router (comcast) my question is how can u close her internet with out closing mine.my mom has asked it do this but i have no clue how.her computer has some kind of reciver in it if that information helps.

Is this computer a desktop? If so it should be a simple matter of disconnecting whatever is connected to the ethernet port. Otherwise do what Mappy F said. All computers have some kind of security to keep users out. Find it and then block the internet program. You will set up a password and only those users who know it will have access. Meaning only you or mom can let her in. Hope this helped.

open up your network connection under the start menu and secure(lock) the connection with a password. or even easier, if your computer is plugged into the comcast modem simply unplug the wireless router. if your computer is plugged in there is no need for the wireless router other than to send the wirless signal to your sister's computer. if the wireless router is unplugged/turned off no more WiFi signal for your sister's computer to pick up.

just go to your router center and you can pretty much block anything shee looks at like myspace and such, heres the typical ip for it just type this in on your internet browser "192.168.1.1"

Do you pay for two separate internet services? I'm confused.

Please explain a bit more what the goal is, if you pay for two services canceling one won't affect the other, if you only pay for one then you can't cancel as you only have one.

Dude ya need to be a bit more specific if you have two ethernet cords for each internet provider than unplug you sisters ethernet cord but leave you moms/ yours in and then it should work. If you only have one cord in the router just try deleting your sisters account and then when you want back on just add her account back on.

The easiest way here is put a password on your wireless network. Look at your router manual, it should explain how to do that. This way you know that she cant use your internet at home, unless you give her the password.

Yes, they ALL have receivers in them to get on the wireless.

Go to her computer, go to Control Panel, and disconnect the network.
